The client requested an open and artful living space for entertaining. Capitalizing on the incredibly expansive oceanfront view and taking advantage of the privacy afforded from such a remote elevation, the new layout conveys a sense of openness in its connection to the surrounding ocean outside while the details engage in a sophisticated play of diverse natural materials and subtle sculptural form.
At the entrance, extraordinary custom fabricated stainless steel doors with hand-blown glass details, a Brazilian teak ceiling, and walls of sculptural slate tile are accented by 30 foot long curtain of water.
